ASETT took part in the first Spanish-language edition of World Futures Day (WFD), an initiative that brought together the Ibero-American community of strategic foresight, innovation and futures practitioners for ten continuous hours of dialogue and collaboration.

The event, jointly organised by the Ibero-American Foresight Network (RIBER), The Millennium Project and other international networks, established itself as a forum for reflecting on today’s global challenges and the importance of anticipating future scenarios through a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach.

As part of the programme, Ibon Zugasti, Head of Foresight at ASETT, presented the organisation’s key areas of work, highlighting strategic foresight as an essential tool for supporting processes of economic and social transformation, connecting knowledge with action, and helping to develop collective responses to increasingly complex and uncertain contexts.

Strategic Foresight and Transformation Through the Social Economy

ASETT’s participation in this edition of World Futures Day reflects its mission to generate practical, applied knowledge that strengthens the connection between local development, social innovation and strategic decision-making.

Strategic foresight—understood not only as a way of anticipating emerging trends but also as a process for building shared visions of the future—is one of the key drivers for advancing more inclusive and sustainable economic models.

Through its participation, ASETT further strengthens its engagement with international networks dedicated to strategic thinking and action, reinforcing its role as a platform that connects knowledge, foresight and social transformation.
