Miramar Palace in Donostia hosted the summer course “Governance in Cooperatives: From the Cooperative Principle of Democratic Management to Effective Business Management,” directed by Martín Recalde Llanos (LKS Next Legal) and Alberto Emparanza Sobejano (UPV/EHU).

Our Director, Iñigo Albizuri, delivered the presentation “ASETT: Governance for a Competitive, Collaborative and Purpose-Driven Social Economy.” His contribution highlighted the need to balance the key principles of democratic governance with business management that ensures competitiveness in the market.

The event brought together cooperative leaders, institutional representatives and experts from the Basque and Spanish cooperative movement, providing an important opportunity to strengthen the management of our organisations while remaining true to their founding principles.
