Together with the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD) and Spain’s Ministry of Labour and Social Economy, ASETT presented the Sustainable Development Performance Indicators (SDPI)—an innovative framework designed to move beyond traditional financial metrics by incorporating participation, equity and genuine sustainability into the assessment of organisational performance.

Already recognised in the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) publication Humanity@Work&Life, the SDPI framework aims to redefine how economic progress is measured, offering a more comprehensive approach that reflects the social, environmental and governance dimensions of business performance.

During the event, ASETT’s Director, Iñigo Albizuri, highlighted the urgent need to integrate these indicators into global public policy frameworks, arguing that doing so is essential to achieving meaningful alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the core values of the Social Economy.

The presentation reinforced the growing international recognition that measuring business success requires going beyond financial performance to capture the broader value organisations create for people, communities and society as a whole.
