ASETT took part in the presentation of the GEM Spain 2025–2026 Report, one of the country’s leading studies on the state and evolution of entrepreneurship.

The report’s findings reveal a highly encouraging trend: more and more people see entrepreneurship as a realistic option, regardless of their age, educational background or economic circumstances. During the presentation, GEM Spain President Ana Fernández-Laviada highlighted the importance of continuing to foster an entrepreneurial ecosystem that is open, inclusive and capable of creating opportunities for everyone.

At ASETT, we believe these findings invite an important reflection. The challenge is not simply to create more businesses, but to promote business models that generate quality employment, strengthen social cohesion and contribute to regional development.

In this context, the Social Economy offers particularly valuable solutions to challenges such as generational renewal, labour market inclusion, youth entrepreneurship and the revitalisation of rural areas.

We would like to thank the Spanish Entrepreneurship Observatory, GEM Spain, chaired by Ana Fernández-Laviada, and ENISA for organising this event and for generating the knowledge that helps us better understand the economic and social transformations shaping our society.
